Veneers Treatment

Veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers) are highly aesthetic custom-made wafer-thin shells that cover the surface of your teeth for a more natural look and feel. This treatment is pain-free and non-invasive and will last you around 10 to 20 years with a beautiful smile. Veneers can be done in as little as two visit, and the porcelain will not easily stain. Our patients usually come in for this procedure to enhance the shape, size, position, and color of existing teeth.

We have outlined four areas that make you a good candidate for veneers:

  1. Stained teeth. If you are a heavy coffee drinker, enjoy your wine Wednesdays, smoke, or eat lots of berries and tomatoes, you may be at risk of losing your pearly whites. Teeth begin to lose density and it's white color due to aspects of our everyday diets and habits. Due to the porcelain material, veneers do not stain as easily and will match the natural look of white teeth.

  2. Gaps. To close gaps in the front of your mouth, tooth-colored resin can be applied to close the appearance.

  3. Crooked teeth. Veneers are an excellent way to restore teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped (for example, have craters or bulges in them). Teeth with minor damage can be corrected.

  4. You want to improve your smile. If you have chipped or yellow teeth, getting veneers could be a simple and quick procedure. This type can change the color, length, shape and color of your teeth.

What Are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are ultra-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your natural teeth. They are custom-made to fit your teeth, and their color and shape can be tailored to match your existing teeth. With dental veneers, you can enjoy a brighter, straighter, and more symmetrical smile in just a few visits to your dentist.

The Benefits of Dental Veneers

One of the biggest advantages of dental veneers is their versatility. They can be used to correct a wide range of cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • Chipped or broken teeth

  • Discolored or stained teeth

  • Teeth that are too small or too large

  • Teeth that are misaligned or misshapen

  • Gaps between teeth

In addition to their versatility, dental veneers are also a long-lasting solution. When properly cared for, dental veneers can last for 10-15 years or even longer. This means that you can enjoy a beautiful, confident smile for years to come.

Another benefit of dental veneers is that they are low-maintenance. Unlike traditional dental braces, dental veneers do not require special cleaning or care. You simply need to maintain good oral hygiene, brush and floss regularly, and visit your dentist regularly for routine check-ups and cleanings.

Finally, dental veneers are a natural-looking solution. They are designed to match the color and shape of your existing teeth, and they are made of porcelain, a material that is very similar in appearance and texture to natural teeth. With dental veneers, you can enjoy a bright, beautiful smile that looks and feels natural.

The Dental Veneers Procedure

The dental veneers procedure typically takes two or three visits to your dentist. During your first visit, your dentist will examine your teeth and discuss your cosmetic goals. They will also take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to create your custom-made dental veneers.

Once your dental veneers are ready, you will return to your dentist for the placement appointment. During this appointment, your dentist will clean and prepare your teeth, removing a small amount of enamel to make room for the veneers. They will then place the veneers on your teeth and bond them into place with a special dental adhesive.

After the veneers are placed, your dentist will check to ensure that they fit properly and are comfortable. They will then polish the veneers to ensure a natural and seamless appearance.

Caring for Your Dental Veneers

Once your dental veneers are in place, it is important to take good care of them to ensure their longevity. To keep your dental veneers looking their best, you should:

  • Brush and floss regularly

  • Avoid chewing on hard objects, such as ice or pen caps

  • Wear a mouthguard while playing sports

  • Visit your dentist regularly for routine check-ups and cleanings

With proper care, your dental veneers can last for many years
